12/12/2023 0 Comments Oak and ember grill pashpee ma![]() The corn bread was fluffy and had a glaze that was maple and butter! My family lives in Texas, so I know and appreciate good food! My friend ended up with an angus burger, and ordered brussel sprouts which were maybe a bit over-fried and perhaps over-crispy, but she loved her burger! The service was excellent and our server was wonderful. My other side dish was the best cheesy grits this side of the Mississippi. I chose the famous apple cole slaw which was delicious with tiny apple sticks in addition to cabbage. I would like a hotter sauce but my friend would have preferred a milder one. ![]() ![]() The barbecue sauce is very sweet and has a slight kick to it, which I love. The hostess brought everything out together after we each had water with lemon. My chicken came with corn bread, the choice of 2 sides, and I asked for extra sauce but please, no extra salt. I did not want to carry a cake for 2 and my friend did not want dessert at the end of the meal. They offered a candle if we had dessert and said that I could bring in a birthday cake. When I made the reservation on the phone, I explained it was a birthday. The Oak and Embers did not offer a grilled chicken breast for my friend, although they have pulled chicken, fried chicken, and turkey wraps. being able to cut it but our waitress assured me that I would be able to cut the chicken into pieces and it was correct. I had the 1/2 chickenīarbecue which had more dark meat than white. It was a hot day and we felt like eating chicken. I took a friend to the Oak and Embers Tavern in Chesterland for a birthday lunch.
